ecobuddy, the brand of bioplastics by EcosMed, took part in EU Green Week, held in Brussels on 3 and 4 June, at the stand hosted by CINEA, which showcased the most innovative projects of the LIFE Programme, including LIFE RESTART.
This year’s edition of Green Week, dedicated to the Circular Economy, delved into the theme of the “three Cs” – Clean, Competitive & Circular, exploring how to place circularity at the heart of Europe’s economic transition. With its potential to foster sustainable competitiveness, reduce waste, increase strategic autonomy, and drive innovation, the circular economy was presented as a key solution to some of Europe’s most pressing challenges.
The event featured:
-
Policy discussions (3–4 June): Expert speakers shared insights into how a circular use of resources can make the European Union more competitive, resilient, and sustainable;
-
Stakeholder event (5 June): Industry leaders, communities, and other stakeholders came together to exchange ideas and inspire concrete action, in collaboration with the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform and the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI).
For 25 years, EU Green Week – organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment – has been Europe’s leading environmental conference and a key opportunity to raise awareness, promote, and discuss the latest and upcoming developments in European environmental policy.
