At the invitation of Professor Graziella Scandurra from the Department of Engineering at the University of Messina, on Thursday, January 23rd, Dr. Cristina Scolaro and Annamaria Visco—scientific coordinator of LIFE RESTART for UNIME as well as a professor of Materials Science and Technology at the Department of Engineering—participated as speakers in an outreach and informational meeting on the project, which was held at the Parish of San Nicolò all’Arcivescovado in Messina.

The audience, highly attentive to social issues, was large and engaged.

They followed the presentations with great interest and asked numerous questions, sparking a lively debate.

There was a lot of curiosity about the biodegradation of biomaterials, the use of alternative waste materials, the long-term durability of the presented materials, as well as specific questions regarding the mechanical performance of the objects (such as vases, caps, etc.) that were shown to them at the end of the event.
